Event Description:

Celebrate the arts with the first DU Roots Music and Arts Festival, showcasing current and past students' work and featuring guest artist Evie Ladin. With music, dance, visual arts, and food trucks, this will be a day to celebrate the connections between creative works.

Expect performances from Evie Ladin, The American Roots Music Ensemble, Denison Roots Faculty, a Denison Alumni Band, a square dance as well as art displays, dance, and student showcases. In addition, there will be food trucks on site. 

Music Schedule 

  • Noon: American Roots Music Ensemble 

  • 12:45 p.m.: Allie Mohn '24 

  • 1:30 p.m.: Evie Ladin with student workshop showcase 

  • 2:45 p.m.: Evie Ladin solo 

  • 3:30 p.m.: American Roots Faculty Performance with Adam Schlenker, Hayes Griffin, Matt Opachick 

  • 4:30 p.m.: Square Dance with Evie Ladin and the DU Bluegrass/American Roots Alumni Band
