Are you ready to serve? Have you ever considered running for elected office?
Make a plan to attend an ‘Election Academy’ on Monday evening June 23rd!
2025 will be an active year for a number of local races. The Granville Village Council (3 seats), Granville Township Trustees (2 seats), and the Granville Board of Education (2 seats) will all be on the ballot in November and now is the time to actively consider whether you have the interest, energy, and commitment to serve your community in one of these elected positions.
The Granville Chamber Alliance and the League of Women Voters of Licking County are joining together to bring you a panel of knowledgeable individuals who have previously served - or currently serve – in one or more of these capacities. They’ll share their own campaign experiences and ‘lessons learned’ on the campaign trail which may be most helpful to you as you contemplate whether throwing your hat in the ring at this time is a good move for you. Experts from the Licking County Board of Elections will also be on hand to share specifics you need to know – including important filing deadlines and requirements.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn what it takes to mount a successful campaign for an important local office. This program is a Bryn Du Life Local Series event and will be entirely non-partisan in nature. We’re doing this to help you learn what you need to know before embarking in public service.
There is no charge to attend and the event is open to the public. Please share the word with any/all who may have interest.
