Member Meeting and Luncheon - Granville Community Update

Join us for an informative presentation on current plans and activities related to the Granville community.  In particular, Herb Koehler (Granville Village Manager) and members of the Village's Planning Department will share details related to the 2025 Downtown Signalization Project which will begin in April and continue through November.  What's this all about? ...here's a taste of what's to come:
 

Key Improvements to the Downtown Area:

• Pedestrian Safety - shortened crossing distances, improved visibility & lighting, ADA compliant crosswalks

• Traffic Congestion Mitigation - smart signals through all intersections allowing for improved traffic flow, left turn signals onto S. Main St. and N. Pearl St.

• Environmental - green infrastructure via rain gardens will improve runoff and decrease pollutants, pollinator-friendly planting beds

  Aesthetics - a cleaner, greener streetscape with fewer utility poles and increased plantings throughout downtown

- New Development in the Mill District Area (S. Main Street)
- A status update on the Columbus Road/Rte 16 JEDD (Joint Economic Development District)
- A status update on Munson Springs - potential future use(s) of the property

The specific proposed revisions were shared with all Member businesses via email on January 23, 2025. Copies of the revised language recommendations will be available for review at the Meeting.
